A popular misconception is that all conflict is destructive and that the goal of good management is to minimise it. This programme turns the idea of conflict management `upside down’ as it suggests that conflict is necessary for an organisation to maintain its competitive edge. A `conflict positive’ environment is in fact an opportunity for growth, both for the individual and the organisation.
This 2-day programme will help participants develop ideas that put positive conflict to work, where participants will learn to use these skills to stay focused on resolving conflict among their team members more effectively.
In this programme, participants will learn to:
• Understand conflict and key elements involved in managing conflict in a group setting;
• Examine participants’ mindsets around conflict and roles as managers in managing conflict within their teams;
• Apply appropriate conflict resolution options and techniques to help participants’ team members who are in conflict achieve a positive resolution and work towards a high-performing team culture.
